This workshop is for the photo-enthusiastsputs that wants that image on a wall no matter whay your abilitys are with your camera, some processing image editing may be needed on dull days,
this 1-2-1 masterclass will push your photography to the next level. and wanting more.
You will be in full control of your camera with full tuition on settings and setup, 1 on 1 hands on with me.
we will cover all of your camera settings make changes if need be, i will explain what we need to do and the changes made to your camera (if any).
We will look at Shutter speed, Exposure, ISO, WB, Focusing modes, Composition, Techniques,
Together we discuss and learn photography techniques,
On the day of your 1-2-1
We will meet, main carpark at the Red Kite visitor centre 09.15 here you park and leave your car here, 09.30 we will head of in my car for a sort drive where we will park up and head over the fileds to the Red squirrles hides, its about 15 min walk, it can be muddy so walking boots or wellies are best here.
Once in the hide all settled and comfortable we will choose the right camera settings relative to the image your looking for and the light, i will explain the settings and why, we will be using high ISO here to obtain the shutter speed needed. when your all set and ready to go i will set up the feeding area approriate to the images you want.
At 12.30 we will pack up and leave the Squirrle hide, head back to the main carpark at the centre arriving back about 1pm. here you have time to freshen up and use the toilet facilites
From the carpark we will head to the Red kite photography hide which you will have again to your self along with the outdoor photo platform.
Again we will start by looking at the settings of your camera and get ready for the Kites, before the kites arrive at the feeding location you will have time to have your lunch and a hot drink, at the same time we can look at the images from the mornings jumping Red squirrles
Once the Kites start to show and we are ready to go its all about timing foucing, right spot where to focus. now the fun starts tracking the Kites in flight watch how they move about the sky with plenty of background opportunities, pan and nail that image in the right place. the workshop will come to an end once the Kites move away from the feeding area.
What to bring
Camera
DSLR or Mirrorless no matter the make i will show you the right settings.
Lenses
You want a lens of 400mm minimum focal distance full frame for the Kites or a 300mm for a crop camera, a 1.4-1.6 Teleconverter can be used in good light,
Red squirrles Jumping lens 70-200 / 100-400 a fast lens is a bounes on dull days
A stable tripod and a shutter cable is a must for the Jumping squirrles,
A bean bag for the Kites or you can use your camera bag to support your camera for the Kites feeding images,
waterproof clothing and boots.
food and hot / cold drink.

The deposit is non-refundable if you was to cancle your workshop.
The workshop will only be cancelled due to very high winds or heavy laying snow / ice if so then a new date will be arranged, this we will decide 72 hours before your workshop,
The workshop will not be cancelled due to rain or dull day, sorry
